Waves Fluid Engineering is a water pump supplier and installation contractor in Singapore. We design, supply, install, service and repair booster, transfer, sump, ejector and pantry pump systems for commercial, industrial and residential buildings, with PE-certified, PUB-compliant works.
A water pump system is the equipment that moves and pressurises water inside a building: the pumps themselves, the control panel that runs them, the level and pressure controls that tell them when to start and stop, and the valves and fittings that connect it all together. Get any one of those parts wrong and the whole system underperforms, no matter how good the pump is.
Waves Fluid Engineering Pte Ltd supplies and installs the full range of building water pumps in Singapore, from a single booster pump for a shophouse to multi-pump transfer and sump systems in industrial buildings and shopping complexes. Because we also handle water tank installation and tank maintenance, we can take responsibility for the whole water storage and pumping system rather than just the pump in isolation.
We work with commercial buildings, industrial facilities, condominiums, dormitories, hospitals, schools, shopping complexes and landed homes across the island, and we service and repair existing pump systems no matter which contractor originally installed them.
In short: a booster pump raises water pressure to the taps, a transfer pump moves water from a low tank to the roof tank, a sump pump clears water out of pits and basements, an ejector pump lifts waste water up to the sewer line, and a pantry pump drains a sink where there is no floor trap. Most buildings run more than one of these together.
Six core pump systems, each designed and sized for a specific duty. Select a system to see full technical details, components, brands and servicing options.
A single pressure pump with one pressure vessel and all required fittings, keeping water pressure steady at every outlet.
Duty and standby pumps that alternate automatically, sharing wear and keeping supply running if one pump fails.
Lifts water from the low-level transfer tank up to the roof storage tank, so the building is served by gravity around the clock.
Clears collected water out of sump pits, basements and car parks before it can flood the space, with automatic level control.
Lifts waste water from below the sewer line up to the discharge point, supplied with the ejector tank and PE submission to PUB.
Compact lift pump that drains a pantry sink or wash basin where there is no floor trap, with optional leak detector and SMS alert.
Water pumps are named after their duty, not their size. This table shows what each system does and where it is normally installed.
| Pump system | What it does | Controlled by | Typically installed in |
|---|---|---|---|
| Booster pump | Raises and holds water pressure to the outlets | Line pressure | Landed homes, offices, condominiums, commercial buildings |
| Transfer pump | Moves water from a low tank up to the roof tank | Tank water level | High-rise residential, industrial and commercial buildings |
| Sump pump | Removes collected water from pits and low areas | Pit water level | Basements, car parks, rainwater sumps |
| Ejector pump | Lifts waste water up to the sewer line | Ejector tank level | Basement toilets and below-sewer facilities |
| Pantry pump | Drains a sink where gravity discharge is unavailable | Internal float switch | Office pantries, wash basins, high-rise units |
A transfer pump fills the roof tank; a booster pump pressurises the supply to the taps. Many buildings need both. Read our guide on how to choose a water pump supplier in Singapore for the full comparison.
An oversized pump wastes energy and short cycles; an undersized pump never reaches the top floor. We size every system on the actual conditions in your building rather than on a catalogue guess.
How much water the building draws at peak, based on the number of units, outlets and occupancy pattern.
The vertical lift required plus friction losses in the pipework, which determines the pressure the pump must generate.
Where the storage sits, how the tank is fed, and whether the system needs transfer duty, boosting, or both.
Duty or duty-standby operation, pump alternation, dry-run protection and whether a BMS signal is required.
The footprint available, access for future servicing, and whether a vertical multistage or end-suction pump fits better.
Anti-vibration mounts and flexible connectors where the plant room sits near occupied units.
Pump work in Singapore is regulated, and this is where many low-cost installations create problems for the building owner later. Under the Public Utilities (Water Supply) Regulations, a water service installation that involves pumping equipment or a water storage tank must be designed by a registered Professional Engineer, not by a plumber alone.
Alongside the PE, a Licensed Plumber is required for the water service works on site, and a Certificate of Satisfactory Completion is submitted once the installation has been completed and tested. Booster pumps and pressure vessels also sit within PUB's Stipulation of Standards and Requirements for water fittings, so the equipment itself must comply with SS 636 and be supported by valid test reports.
We handle this properly as part of the job, including PE submission where the scope requires it, so your installation stands up to inspection and your building management is not left holding an undocumented system.
We provide a one-year warranty on products changed and installed by us at your premises, subject to terms and conditions.
Supplying the pump is the easy part. What protects your building is what happens after commissioning, which is why we cover the whole lifecycle.
New pump systems designed to your requirement or your consultant's drawing, installed, tested and commissioned.
Planned pump maintenance works that catch worn seals, sticking valves and faulty level controls before they cause a supply failure.
Fault-finding and pump system repair works on pumps that trip, run dry, cycle repeatedly or lose pressure, whoever installed them.
Not every customer need is the same, so the solution is not the same for everyone. Our general procedure is as follows.
You call or email us describing the requirement, and we advise on the likely system.
A suitable team member visits the site to assess the plant room, tank and existing pipework.
We send a written quotation with the recommended brand and scope of work for your approval.
Once approved, we deliver the products on site and carry out the installation works.
The installed system is tested and commissioned, and handed over with warranty.

We are not tied to one manufacturer. We recommend the pump that fits your duty, plant room and budget, and we keep common pumps and spares available to avoid delays.
Also available: Vossche, Homac, Mepcato, Sanivite and other leading brands on request. See our full product range.
We supply and maintain water pump systems across a wide range of premises in Singapore.
Pumps rarely work alone. These are the tanks, controls and services that go with them.
